H.P. Williams, Jr., who began practicing law in North Carolina in 1978, focuses his practice on DWI and drug offenses. He also works with clients on cases involving misdemeanor charges, felony charges and traffic violations. He served as the Assistant District Attorney, First Prosecutorial District of North Carolina for four years, followed by twelve years as the District Attorney in the same district.

H.P. currently serves as the President of River City Community Development Corporation and has been on this Board since 2006. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Elizabeth City Area Chamber of Commerce. In 2010, H.P. was selected as Best Lawyer in The Daily Advance Readers’ Choice Awards.

H.P. is admitted to practice in the states of North Carolina and Virginia, as well as before the U.S. Court of Appeals, 4th District and the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of North Carolina.
