David Pureza has been practicing law in North Carolina since 1996. Prior to joining The Twiford Law Firm, David worked for a large personal injury firm. He now has a general practice and represents individuals in real estate transactions, social security disability and Workers’ Compensation cases, personal injury cases, auto accidents and estate planning. He also handles litigation and appeals.
While attending law school at the University of Mississippi, David served as an Honor Council representative, as a Moot Court board member, and as the Associate Editor for the Mississippi Law Journal. Here in Elizabeth City, David has maintained his high level of community involvement by serving as a board member for First United Methodist Church and for BB&T. He currently serves as the President of The Elizabeth City - Pasquotank Public Schools Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports the school district by raising funds to enhance student education. Additionally, David is a member of the Albemarle Area Committee of 100, a part of the Economic Development Commission responsible for promoting sound economic growth in Elizabeth City and Pasquotank County.
David is admitted to practice in the state of North Carolina, as well as before the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of North Carolina and the U.S. Court of Appeals, 4th Circuit.
