John Morrison, who began practicing law in North Carolina in 1972, focuses his practice on legal matters impacting businesses and government agencies. He also serves individuals needing guidance with Social Security Disability claims, estate planning, and real estate law.

John has represented Camden, Chowan, Currituck and Pasquotank Counties, Albemarle Hospital Authority, Gateway Bank, Albemarle Mental Health Center and Alliance Nissan.

In addition to his work at the Twiford Law Firm, P.C., John is a former Board Member at Centura Bank and a former instructor of Political Science and Business Law at both College of the Albemarle and Elizabeth City State University. He retains the title of Trustee Emeritus at Elizabeth City State University. John is an active member of Vestry Christ Episcopal Church, where he also serves as an Adult Sunday School teacher.

John is admitted to practice in the state of North Carolina, before the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of North Carolina, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
