Megan is a native of Currituck County and is married to Dr. David Morgan, a local dentist.  After attending East Carolina University and acquiring her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Business Management, Megan went on to attend Law School at the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law of Campbell University. Prior to college and law school, she spent many summers interning at the Twiford Law firm. During that time, Megan’s passion for working in law was cultivated. As she worked alongside the attorneys, assisting them with legal research, drafting legal documents and preparing for court she knew she wanted to pursue her law degree and fulfill her dream of returning to the area to practice at the firm.

While in law school, Megan served as a research assistant, drafting the 2012 supplement for Webster’s Real Estate Law in North Carolina. During the summer of 2012, she participated in an externship at the District One, District Attorney’s Office. In that role, Megan researched and participated in district and superior criminal court. In 2014, she worked at the Senior Law Clinic where she represented elder clients with legal matters under the supervision off a supervising attorney.

As an attorney at the Twiford Law Firm, Megan will work primarily out of the Moyock Office but will also be available to meet with clients in Elizabeth City when needed.

Megan’s past experience in reviewing and drafting law, as well as her externship and summer internships at the Twiford Law Firm make her an excellent addition to the staff.  Her ties to the area provide her with a personal understanding of the people in the region and their needs as she prepares to represent them in various legal matters.
